CPF 20/ 80 Particulate Air Filter

Clemco CPF 80 ( Multi-Operator) & CPF 20 ( Dual-Operator) Sorbent Bed/ Filter for High-pressure Respirator Systems 1910.134( i) ( 5) ( iii) Have suitable in-line air-purifying sorbent beds and filters to further ensure breathing air quality. Sorbent beds and filters shall be maintained and replaced or refurbished periodically following the manufacturer' s instructions. 1910.134( i) ( 5) ( iv) Have a tag containing the most recent change date and the signature of the person authorized by the employer to perform the change. The tag shall be maintained at the compressor. Clemco CPF 80 and CPF 20 filters are designed as sorbent beds and filters to fulfill applicable OSHA regulations. These filters do not assure breathing-air quality as outlined in OSHA regulations: 1910.134( i) ( 1) ( ii) Compressed breathing air shall meet at least the requirements for Grade D breathing air described in ANSI/ Compressed Gas Association Commodity Specification for Air, G-7.1-1989. Operating above 150 psi could cause the housing to rupture and cause severe injury or death. The CPF filter cartridge is specifically designed to comply with OSHA regulation 1910.134( i) ( 5) ( iii) . Use of non-Clemco replacement parts may violate this OSHA regulation. The filter cartridge is designed for a life of approximately 500 hours or three months in a 40-hour workweek. Documented inspection and replacement of the cartridge is mandated by OSHA regulation 1910.134( i) ( 5) ( iv) . These types of filters are not part of the NIOSH-approved supplied-air respirator system required for abrasive blasting. The NIOSH-approved components begin at the point of attachment where the air line connects to the air source after the air regulator.
